Staying The Course

I find myself swept up in it all, the excitement, the stress, the unknown...that's how it feels as I move day by day trying to create something that I can be proud of, and that people will enjoy.  You know how they say food is the key to a man's heart, well a good dessert is the path to everyone's sweet tooth. I love what I do now each day, be it baking, selling or washing the pans because I am doing something that's mine, and I can share my experiences with complete strangers, and people I know. Success is not about a paycheck, it's about finding what you love, and letting it enter the hearts of those around you....

Validation!!!

Well as you know I recently did a large order for 2000 Grandma's Cheesecake Sandwiches for a giveaway at Resorts World Catskills during their Prime 55 Tuesday promotions, which went over quite well. I am happy to report that I have received payment for those luxurious tasty treats, and the feelings of achievement and validation I am experiencing after my first big order are magnificent. Getting an order for 2000 Grandma’s Cheesecake Sandwiches in the first few weeks of being in business from Resorts World Catskills has truly been amazing, not to mention stressful, but that is expected when you launch a new start-up. The trick is not to get overwhelmed or caught up too much in the moment, so you can stay focused, and attend to your business. Starting Grandma's Cheesecake Sandwiches

The idea had been on my mind for some time - I'd dabbled with it back in the early 90s, but never really went beyond selling cheesecakes to a few restaurants back then because I was baking them in my mother's kitchen one by one.
