Grandma's Cheesecake Sandwiches Nut Free Retail Bake Shop in Whitestone, Queens is about to approach the six month mark in the very community that Raphaella Cotoggio, my grandmother called home.
I don't think I could have chosen another location for my first store given the amount of time I spent in the area throughout my earlier years.
And, even though I grew up nearby in College Point, my grandmother's house was always the place I ran to for comfort, and of course for her delicious cheesecake. I am sure she is looking down on me now in awe with all the flavors, and happy customers that continue to come back in week after week to indulge in this unique, little treat that came about because of her recipe.
Our flavor list is growing constantly (we're now up to about 30), and we've expanded into specialty cakes (by order only), this is one of our latest -
along with an array of other nut free baked goods, such as cake pops, cookies, petite birthday cakes, and chocolates. Yes, I said chocolates, which we will be making this Easter in homage to Stork's Bakery.
